Windows PowerPro for Windows 95/98/NT/2000 is an awesome, yet strangely little known application.
I have been using it for a couple of years now, and the only bad thing I can say about it is this:
Once you get a handle on how it works, pretty much all other "Desktop Enhancement" apps will become obsolete.
Its functionalities include (but are not limited to)...
- Change wallpapers, sound schemes, screensavers at predefined intervals.
- Create your own custom pop-up menus (skinnable too BTW...)
- Set timers for events to occur.
- Use sticky notes
- Create and manage up to 9 virtual desktops.
- Perform complex scripts.
- View resource usage (CPU, Bandwidth, swapfile, virtual memory, and more)
- Setup Hotkeys to launch applications, websites, predefined functions, etc.
- Multiple Clipboards
- Key-logging
etc etc etc.
It takes a bit of getting used to, because there are so many options. You have to pretty much create everything from scratch (there are a few sample things to get you happening.)
So if you want to try this app out, ensure you have a day free to get your head around it, but once you do, you wont look back...
